The tightrope walker Andrea Loreni will challenge the skies of Civita di Bagnoregio

After the success in Piazza Cavour for Civita Cinema on August 3rd a new emotion

BAGNOREGIO – The tightrope walker Andrea Loreni returns to Tuscia. Appointment in Civita di Bagnoregio on August 3rd, for an evening of unique emotions. Fifty meters of inclined and illuminated cable and the crossing suspended above the roofs of one of the most appreciated wonders of the world.

After the great success of last year, with the opening of Civita Cinema in Piazza Cavour - in the heart of Bagnoregio chosen by Federico Fellini for the unique scenes of the Oscar-winning film 'La Strada' -, Loreni is ready to measure himself interior of a new test tens of meters above sea level.

“Civita is a city suspended in space and time, where everything appears perfect, but precarious and melancholy. Everything passes and transforms and here it seems to be consumed more quickly and painfully because it is infinitely beautiful. As Miazaki well represented when inspired by his city in the clouds, here everything is suspended, in space and time. The tightrope walker's crossing is also a suspended and absolute act. It involves a great deal of design and set-up work; but then in a few minutes it runs out and passes. It is the ephemeral. But its value and beauty remain in the memory. A hymn to uselessness then, which creates beauty, the eternal one that does not die and resists, together with Civita". Loreni's words on the new challenge she is working on.

The idea of returning for a unique crossing in a place that contains the ancient and is projected towards the world began to move in the mind of the tightrope walker Loreni at the first glance at the entrance to the bridge. Just as the municipal administration, led by mayor Francesco Bigiotti, immediately believed in the opportunity to get to work on a new event. Loreni continued the idea together with the deputy mayor Luca Profili, visiting the village and climbing the bell tower of the church of San Donato to discover the roofs. “We are excited and waiting. Last year Loreni gave our territory an extraordinary public and communication success within Civita Cinema", says Bigiotti.

“An important collaboration was born with Loreni – declares Profili -. Now let's enjoy what he will be able to give us in August but I am convinced that we will be able to imagine new paths to share."
