On Christmas, entry to Civita di Bagnoregio is free
Profili: "A gift for everyone." Bigiotti: "The message is to share hope."
On December 25th, under the tree of beauty enthusiasts, the Municipality of Bagnoregio and Casa Civita have decided to place a special gift: free entry to the village suspended over the Calanchi Valley.
For the entire day, it will be possible to freely access Civita and immerse oneself in the atmosphere of a place unique in the world, increasingly appreciated by both national and international tourist flows.
"In recent years, thanks to the tourism development of our territory, we have achieved important results for our citizens. Tourism growth has made Bagnoregio one of the most lively and dynamic municipalities in Tuscia. Every day of the year, we welcome thousands of visitors, and this means investments in the upkeep and enhancement of the town, job creation, and the possibility of events and initiatives that would otherwise have been unthinkable. On Christmas Day, we decided to give a gift to those who wish to visit and authorize free entry, to share with everyone the emotions that Civita can offer." These are the words of the Mayor of Bagnoregio, Luca Profili.
"Our initiative is intended as a symbolic gesture of sharing a beauty that belongs to Humanity," continues Francesco Bigiotti, the administrator of Casa Civita. "We chose Christmas Day precisely because it is the best time to give a gift. When you give something, it usually conveys a message to the recipient. Our message is to share the hope that we have been cultivating here in Bagnoregio for years—a hope for rediscovery, rebirth, and the enhancement of our territories."
